About Us
INSTAR Lab Inc. is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit research organization headquartered in Marietta, Ohio. We're a 501(c)(3) public charity (classified by the IRS under §170(b)(1)(A)(vi)), and as a working research institute we conduct our own scientific research and translate it into real-world public benefit. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law under IRC §170.

Our research spans AI & machine learning, quantum science and computing, data analytics, health and medicine, energy, high-performance computing, space and orbital systems, materials science, and the broad sciences. We work through the INSTAR Consortium — seven specialized partners, each contributing proven methodologies: Focus Hive (AI-driven workforce performance & development), World Enterprise Group (business accelerator & incubator), Dream Limited (capture management & procurement solutions), Curiosity Research Corp (SPARK pedagogy and Curiosity Coaching), Ravonics (IT federal contractor), Global Enterprise (international business & logistics), and Tao Learning (education in STEAM & P-20+).
What We Do
INSTAR Lab conducts applied research across the sciences and technology disciplines, trains researchers at every level through the INSTAR Fellowship — an open citizen-scientist program with no minimum degree requirement — and transfers knowledge to enterprise and government partners through STTR programs and collaborative engagements.
